ADO.NET Entity Framework and Microsoft Codename "Astoria" with James Winters and Guy Smith-Ferrier

The ADO.NET Entity Framework is an entity relationship model for ADO.NET complete with class library and design tools. Astoria is the answer to "how do we access data over the internet in an AJAX/Silverlight/XBAP/PopFly application ?". Astoria uses the ADO.NET Entity Framework to achieve its goal and hence these two subjects go well together.

Windows Presentation Foundation And SilverLight With Oliver Sturm

Windows Presentation Foundation is the new UI technology in the .NET Framework 3.0 for Windows applications and takes full advantage of the latest hardware. SilverLight is the cross platform engine that renders a subset of WPF in a browser. Oliver Sturm is an MVP, regular speaker and works for Developer Express.
