Abstracts:
Application Compatibility (30 mins)
Application Compatibility for Microsoft has always been a primary area of focus because it has been something that our customers have valued. Many developers and IT Pros are not familiar with new application compatibility strategies that enable Windows 2000/XP compatibility in modern Vista/Windows 7 environments. Using a combination of virtualization and management technologies, IT Pros, developers, and end-users can have seamless access to all applications whether they require Windows XP or webapps that require IE6. Technologies discussed include Terminal Services Gateway, Application Virtualization (App-V), Enterprise Desktop Virtualization (MED-V), Expression Web SuperPreview, and Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT).
Windows 7 Features In Depth (60 mins)
Exploring the various features of Microsoft's latest OS and what has changed since Vista and XP. Cool new characteristics will be demonstrated, with their advantages thoroughly explained.
Bio:
It is hard to believe but I used my first Microsoft product in 1979 and then joined Microsoft 21 years later, specialising in messaging technologies. In the 5 years before joining Microsoft, I ran my own consultancy company and in 1993, I became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) with a focus on messaging and systems management. Prior to joining the Evangelist team, I worked for Microsoft Consulting Services.
